Do I need any prior driving experience to start?
No — complete beginners are very welcome. Lessons are structured to build your confidence gradually, starting with the basics before moving on to busier roads.
What's the difference between automatic and manual driving lessons?
Automatic lessons remove the clutch and gear-changing entirely, so every lesson is focused purely on steering, awareness and road positioning. Most students build confidence faster this way, and an automatic licence covers almost every new electric car on the road.
Can you help if I've driven before but lost confidence?
Yes. Refresher lessons are tailored to your existing skill level, whether you passed years ago and haven't driven since, or you're coming back after a break.
Does an automatic licence limit what I can drive later?
An automatic licence only covers automatic vehicles, but this is rarely a limitation today — almost every new electric car on the road is automatic.
How many automatic driving lessons will I need before my test?
It varies by student, based on prior experience and how often you can have lessons — automatic tuition often means fewer lessons overall, since there's no clutch control to master. Progress is tracked lesson by lesson so you'll always know where you stand.
What should I expect on the automatic driving test?
The automatic driving test follows the same DVSA format and pass mark as the manual test, with the same routes and examiners — the only difference is there's no clutch control or gear-change manoeuvre to demonstrate.
Do you offer Pass Plus after I pass my automatic test?
Yes. Pass Plus covers motorway driving, night driving and other situations the test doesn't fully prepare you for — ask me about it during your final lessons.

Is there an extra cost for evening or weekend lessons?
